Dr. Law was born and raised in Manhattan and had been a practicing optometrist in Midtown for over 10 years - she is also available for eye exams in the Manhattan office.

Optometrist, Alan B. Schlussel O.D.,F.A.A.O.

Doctor Schlussel received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology from Binghamton University in 1980. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the State College of Optometry in New York in 1984. He has been in private practice for over 25 years.
Doctor Schlussel is currently the managing partner of both private eye care offices in Midtown New York City and West Orange,N.J. In December of 1989, Dr. Schlussel became a fellow in the American Academy of Optometry and is currently a prestigious member of this organization. He is also a member of the American Optometric Association along with the New York and New Jersey State Optometric Associations. He has been extensively trained in the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease and in the co-management of LASIK.
Over the past 15 years, Dr. Schlussel has developed a dry eye center of excellence within his private office. Having dry eyes himself, he has been successful at treating and managing patients with dry eyes. The Dry Eye Treatment Center of New York and New Jersey offers appointments for the treatment and management of Ocular Surface Disease (Dry Eye Syndrome). Dr. Schlussel regularly answers your vision related questions. Dr. Schlussel recently lectured to a large group of optometrists on the effects of dry eyes on sports performance.
Dr. Schlussel is an avid sports fan following local professional teams namely the NY Mets, NY Knicks and Rangers. He is also a long suffering fan of the NY Jets, but roots for all local teams.
His family is composed of his wife, Susan and 2 grown children living in Northern New Jersey (not to mention 2 dogs).

Christine Law, OD

Dr. Christine Law received her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from SUNY Binghamton and then went on to receive her doctorate of optometry at SUNY College of Optometry in 2002. She did her residency in Ocular Disease at the FDR VA Health System in Westchester, NY in 2003 and has been in practice ever since.

In addition to specialized training in Ocular Disease, Dr. Law has experience working with contacts, including fitting specialty lenses and also pediatrics from age 5 and up.
“I love optometry because of the relationships you are able to develop with people over time, and the opportunity to make a real impact in one’s quality of life. I believe that as optometrists we are here to provide comprehensive eye care which not only is important from a vision standpoint but also a health standpoint. As primary eyecare providers, we can detect diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure.”
When not seeing patients, Dr. Law is a self-described “foodie.” She has also been involved in the OneSight Program, providing free eye exams and eyeglasses to patients in need.
Dr. Law is a native New Yorker, and currently lives here in Kips Bay with her husband and three young children. Dr. Law is excited to be here at our eye care clinic in NYC to care for a community that is close to her heart.

Dr. Abraham Alboher , O.D.

Dr. Abraham “Avi” Alboher O.D. is an optometrist who is proficient and trained in ocular disease, dry eye treatment, specialty contact lenses, as well as providing general ocular health care. Dr.Alboher graduated from State University of New York College of Optometry. He was awarded the Louis Herrmann Memorial award for outstanding compassion in patient care. He acquired his clinical experience in ocular disease by rotating through the Hudson Valley Veterans Affairs Hospital System and Gouverneur Hospital, a NYC Health System Hospital.

He has extensive clinical experience diagnosing and managing dry eye, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy, age related macular degeneration, and corneal conditions. His training and clinical experience also included consultations for surgical procedures such as LASIK, cataract removals, and glaucoma surgeries. Dr. Alboher was also involved with the post-operative care of his patients, as well. In addition to a concentration in ocular disease, Dr.Alboher possesses clinical expertise working with specialty rigid lenses (scleral and prosthetic) and soft lenses (multifocal, astigmatic, spherical). He is a member of the American Optometric Association, New York State Optometric Association and Contact Lens Society of America. He enjoys working with patients of all ages and has a warm and compassionate disposition.

When not in the office Dr.Alboher has several hobbies, including outdoor activities such as surfing and snowboarding.
